Dear Shawn Carter,

Well I guess we both knew that this day would come. We have had some really great times together. I can remember when we were first introduced in '96 through a mutial friend. You remember Christopher, man he was great. Back then there wasn't a nigga that could knock your hustle. Now I just don't know what happened to us. '97 was an up and down year for us. We loss Chris but you declared that the City was yours and I agreed. Others had their opinions but we didn't care. We knew who were wit. We knew who the imaginary players were and our friends and foes. Then we went big time in '98 thanks to that red head girl Annie. We went from a hard knock life to money not being a thang. We had the money, cash, hoes. The dogs were barking at us at this point. In '99 we were big pimpin and the fam was starting to do big things. In 2000 we had a dynasty not Blake Carrington but more like Ming. Then in '01 you gave me the blueprint and we began a takeover but it was then when we began to grow apart. It was like your began to burn slow from a dose of ether. You tried to change up your blueprint again in '02 but this one felt like it had too much filler. That's when things went black and we both thought it was time to move on to better things. Over the next few years I would hear you here and there and those feelings started to come back again and I could tell that you were feeling them too. And that is when you returned to your kingdom. I was so happy at first I couldn't wait; man I was so disappointed. It was not the same anymore we could not fake it. You decided to give it one more try I was really hesitant but you told me that it was going to be like old times again. I could not see it. We were both past that point in our lives. Now you want to try and give me another blueprint, but why? The first one was perfect. You will be coming to town soon and I have no want to see you, I think I have spent enough money on you. This is it we are done. I will always go back and enjoy some of our past memories but from this point we can not move forward.

Sincerly,

Rashad

In our first segment of WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!!!! we are featuring OJ Da Juiceman and his slaughtering of the English language. Here is his verse on Hottest In the Hood Remix:

AYYE..Juiceman in the building  <---------Starts off with his signiture sound?

I'm the hottest nigga, in the hooood!
Betta ask somebody, man I'm good
Diamond chain, I'm hood (aye, okay!)
<------Rhymes hood and good I guess he couldn't come up with a bar featuring could or wood or should

Big panky raing like bug <--------------First off the word is Pinky Ring not sure what a Panky Raing is but i'm sure Da Juiceman has plenty of them. Also WTF does this have to do with a bug.

Flaunt the credit but Juice still a thug<-------------Wait I think I found a line that makes sense. He is making reference to his money that he believes gives him better credit.

Still trappin in the hood wit a plug<-------------------I have no clue but I think he didn't want to use Drug too early.

And I'm workin in the kitchen cookin drugs<---------Bam there it is.

Kushy blunt got me high like a bug<---------------------Another bug reference. And how exactly can someone be high like a bug?

Gold ring like the NBA Club<------------------------------I'm a huge basketball fan and this makes no sense. He may also say 4 rings like an NBA glove which also makes no sense.

All in Benihana dining witcha girl<-----------------------Really, I didn't even know. Damn you OJ. Damn You!!!!

Alaska and Atlanta hot-ter<------------------------------I checked the weather today no they aren't. OJ are you lying to me

Young Ju' manye, he a flam-er<---------------Wow we have our first openly gay rapper. Congrats!

Well in summation I have come to the conclusion that OJ Da Juiceman is either the greatest Down Syndrome rapper ever or the worst rapper ever. I'm leaning toward the Down Syndrome because really... I'm not sure if English is his first language or if he doesn't have any comprehension skills. Atlanta school system you have failed miserably.

Ok, for the past week there has been controversy surrounding Joe Budden because of his recent rant about the Vibe Online Best Ever Rapper Bracket. Since Joe Budden's Vlog hit the net the where Joe calls out the rankings and in particular Method Man's rank message boards and fourms have been a buzz. Via his Twitter Budden has continued his onslaught against Meth. Joe has said he respects Meth but believes he is a better rapper than Meth and he is entitled to his opinion. Here is where things go off track.

Most fans feel Budden is out of line to question a "Legend." Method Man is indeed a "Legend" but it's more of a Legend by default. Meth's solo career is quite underwhelming. Aside from Tical his albums have all lacked that certain something that makes an album special. Tical 2000 was a heavily influenced by the end of the world talk. (I always perferred Busta Rhymes' Extinction Level Event) Then came 4:21 which was a decent rap album for a past his prime vet. His "Legend" status comes from his great guess appearances and being apart of the greatest Hip Hop ensamble ever. As the front man for the Wu-Tang Clan Meth murdered verse after verse. But it was just that a verse. Meth also linked up with Redman and produced hip hop magic. Their weed smoking tales and all out verbal assualt on the mic was always entertaining. Meth also was one of the first Rap Artist to cross over to mainstream movies. He has stood toe to toe with some of the best to ever rap and held his own. That is why you can't debate his "legend" status he has the prove to back that up.

But this is not about statuses. This is about bars no hooks 16, 32, 64. This is what makes you a dope MC. When was the last time anybody said "Man Meth killed that track." It's been a while and that's ok. Rappers fall off just like athletes. After awhile you run out of things to say. Method Man in his prime was a decent lyricist with the charisma to pull off sub par bars. So now his Rapper manhood has been called out and he wants to box instead prove it on the mic. Meth is in his 40's c'mon man let that go. Meth does have the right to feel disrespected because he has been doing this for a long time. Budden did come off as cocky today on the Ed Lover show saying, "I will cut that dudes head off his shoulders,”  and "Method Man's not going to be able to survive [a lyrical battle] Its gonna be hard for him." At this point it's time for both of them to put up or shut up and let the fans decide.

Drake is a Beast 04/13/2009

Ok, I know this may be a shock to most but i'm not a Lil Wayne fan. But I think he has one of the hottest newcomers to come around in a while. Drake's new mixtape So Far Gone is an instant classic to me. It has the vibe of Kanye's 808 and Drake can really sing. There are some real stand out tracks like Best I Ever Had and Sucessful. Both songs show the range of Drake as an artist.  He is more than just an MC. You can put a song like A Night Off up against any R&B song that has come out in the last few years. Then look at Say What's Real where he raps over Kanye's  Say What's Real where he spazz's on the track.

The rap game is so stale right now and Drake is a bright spot in the clouds
