533 HR 1745 RBI's 2424 hits .315 Career BA. Those are sure fire Hall of Fame and before today Manny Ramirez was a lock for the HOF. Manny WHY!!! Why would you throw it all away? You were the one. The one last great hitter who was "clean." Manny was the man but now he has tarnished his image.

Although he did not test positive for the usual suspects. He did test positive for a banned substance. The drug gonadotropin was added to the list of banned substances in 2007. This is the same drug that Jose Canseco was caught trying to smuggle into the US. Canseco stated "It could be that a player used it because he used steroids and went cold turkey and needed hCG to get his levels back to normal. I had to use it when I quit steroids cold turkey," Has Canseco lied to us yet?

All of the feel good vibes are gone now. No more Manny being Manny unless you are referring to cheating. No more lovable Manny dropping shallow fly balls and everyone just laughing it off. Manny has lost that privilege. So now this is his legacy once the face of the Boston Red Sox team that finally broke the curse now the face of a cheating generation. Or maybe just maybe all of this will blow over come post season time and Manny is leading the Dodgers to the World Series.

After Week 1 here are a few things I have noticed:

1.) Florida has the best young talent in the game.

2.) The Cardinals may give the Cubs a challenge in that terrible division

3.) The winner of the AL Central will be by default

4.) Last years CY Young winners are off to rough starts. Would would have thought that Cliff Lee wouldn't repeat last years performance.

5.) The Yankees are still the same team they have been the past few years

It's that glorious time of year again. Spring Training is here again. Today marks the start of the Baseball season. On this day optimism run s wild in baseball fans because nobody knows what their favorite team will do this year. Me i'm a White Sox fan. I'm hoping we can make it feel like '05 again and bring home the 'ship. The baseball talking heads tell me this won't happen this year, but who really knows. All I know is my team starts fresh today and the sky is the limit. In a month or so I will probably be singing a different tune but for now let's PLAY BALL.
